The Master in Mechanical Engineering (Smart Technology Engineering) is aimed at providing mechanical engineers with additional knowlegde and skills in the field of Information and Communication Technology. Besides classical mechanical engineering subjects, attention is devoted to electronic sensors and actuators, control systems and their design, computer science and database usage. The smart technologies are seen in different contexts, such us manufacturing plants, building automation, transport systems, health and human activities.

The professional figure emerging from this course is therefore able to properly select and employ the new technologies in the design and management of mechanical devices and machinery, manufacturing processes, complex systems.

A distinctive feature is the joint collaboration with industries: the whole second year is committed to the development of two workshop projects (one each semester) of either industrial interest or via a direct internship.

All compulsory courses are taught in english and only some elective courses are taught in italian.
